THE PORT AT ESSAOURIA

Scott Bolton is a well-known and respected British artist whose pictures are held in many public and private collections.  He has also served as the official artist on several Royal Overseas tours, most recently in Germany in 2023.  His love of travel is reflected in the myriad locations of his paintings, from Bhutan to Argentina and Mallorca, among others.  His oil sketches, as this example of Essaouira, painted in situ, deftly capture the fleeting effects of light and weather.
