Michael Austin started out as a comic book artist and illustrator and worked for many well known publications, but his main desire was to concentrate on fine art and by 1996 he had his first exhibition at Park Walk Gallery with Jonathan Cooper.  He has continued to exhibit there for the last twenty-five years, as well as in many group exhibitions.  He is well known for his majestic depictions of horses’ heads, painted on a large scale, but his smaller works are charming and show his virtuoso ability with paint.
